Fall Break
Holy cow! This past week just flew by. I couldn't imagine getting up at the crack of dawn to drag myself to school. It was my worst nightmare come true. The first day back though was long. Though it made me realize how much I have to look forward to this coming school year. As for Fall Break, the family and I took a one day adventure trip to Disneyland in California. Of course we decided to pick Monday (Columbus Day) of all days of the week to go. It was so busy. You couldn't walk one foot without dodging other people. A highlight was Cars-land. You could call it the mission of the trip since I have three younger brothers. They creators did such a great job. I felt like I was in the middle of the movie! It was amazing. The rest of the week just flew by since we had work men totally demolishing our backyard and redoing our pool, sinking the trampoline, and sinking a hot tub into the ground. It will look great! I hope everyone else had a safe and adventurous week!

Cyberbullying
Cyber bulling has so many cruel meanings. The very word brings frightful memories to many people. I think. It is one of the most dirtiest ways to harm another person. To humiliate, threaten, and look down on another human being from the way of technology is horrible. I feel that any person who commits such a crime should be punished! It should never be acceptable. NEVER. I hope in time, we can all come together and get rid of this type of bullying... because it sickens me to think that kids go to such lengths as to killing themselves, just to be free of the torture. Cyber-bullying is never ever ok with me.

America the Beautiful
America is such a beautiful word. It represents strength and courage. It is a binding word. This names and so much to me. To me, it means freedom and liberty. To live in America is a blessing and I can't believe the freedom and rights I get as a citizen hear. To do what you please, to vote for who you want to, and the chance to express our own feelings and opinions is the most extraordinary thing. I dont know where I would be without any of that. I pray every day and say how grateful I am to live in this land. I live in a great land. And I'll support it 100%. I love America! :)

My Hero!
This topic opens so many discussions. If I wrote a heroic tale, my leading character would be a girl.(Of course.) She would be around 18 and live in a poor society. She would have many younger siblings who she would have to care for since her mother died and her dad works all day. Her name would be Keira. In this story a turn of war and hatred would help this girl discover her "special" abilities that would make her one of the most valuable soldiers in the army. She would be strengthened by the loss of family and become a heroic symbol all over the world. Hmm this might actually be a great start to a book...:)

Hmmm Education
Well, this is a very broad subject. I wish that in some subjects, our head advisors would put more time into creating a more established class. But I do feel that the classes set in front of us to choose are very well picked. They each have the ability to set us up for accomplishing our dreams and making our future a brighter one. Though I do feel our education and success rely greatly on the teachers... There are wonderful and brilliant teachers in our high school. But it only takes one to help lean a student of course. On the big picture though, our education has been placed and created very well. Insuring that our generation can make our society better and help the world grow more fully.

My Grammar Skills in the Making
My grammar skills... Where to start? Junior High taught me some pretty important skills about grammar and I learned a ton. Elementary school wasn't the best. As a whole though, the grammar skills that have been glued to my brain have been super effective. I'm obviously trying to improve as the year goes by too, but I have a pretty firm base that will let me grow more as a writer. When I'm learning about all different kinds of grammar, it reminds me of learning a new formula in math. You have to look for certain things and figure out the "equation" or the words of the problem (or in this instance, the sentence). There is alway a formula for what you need to solve. I'm just grateful my parents pushed me to work hard at english all the years in school. Now, my grammar skills are effective enough to help me get into a honors english class. I cant wait to keep improving.

Plagerizing: Big No-No
Should someone be expellled or fired for Plagerizing? I say yes. If someone has the nerve to take someones else's words, and then not get in trouble for its usage, I feel that brings a terriblenew ample to others that it is alright to comit Plagerizing.I have had my own experience with this. To be honest I had not ment to do what I did. That is why we need to be oh so careful on where we get our information, how we use it, and how to site it. After what happened I am now way more careful and try to strive to be as original with my words as possible. Though it may be easy, people who write and type for a living should recognize that if they decide to be lazy just to get the work done and copy someone else's words, the consequences will not be in their favor. As following... Being fired from your job because you plagerized is the right decision. From my experiences as well as others...please be careful in what you right. It's not worth the trouble.
P.S To my literary group. Sorry I wasn't there today! I was sick. Hope this isn't to late notice.

Overwhelmed or On Course? Definitely overwhelmed...
Well I survived the first week of High School... Completely amazed that I am still standing on two feet. Coming in to it all, I was slightly prepared for homework and assignments right off the bat. What I didn't see coming was the bustle, loads of homework, never ending tests, and trying to keep it all organized at the same time! How can anyone handle this huge of a step in life??? On the positive side of things, I love every one of my teachers. I got very lucky. I am utterly overwhelmed with this new world... Wish me luck!
